Custom cabinets in Spruce Grove

Your cabinetry is made here in the Edmonton area, not shipped in from somewhere else. The same team designs it, builds it and installs it, which is why the measurements are still right when it arrives.

Built here, not shipped here

Most cabinetry sold around Edmonton arrives on a truck. It was made somewhere else, to standard sizes, and whoever installs it makes it fit your room with filler panels. That works when the room is square and the ceiling is flat. Spruce Grove has plenty of houses where neither is true.

We manufacture locally, which changes two things you will actually notice. Lead times do not depend on a container arriving, so when we say six weeks we mean six weeks. The second is what happens when the site does not match the drawing, which on a renovation it never does: we cut for the room rather than trimming on the day.

What we build for homes around Spruce Grove

Kitchens are most of it. Full replacements, island builds, pantry walls, and the awkward corner nobody knew what to do with. Bathrooms and ensuites come next, usually vanities built to the exact width of the room rather than the nearest stock size.

After that it is storage: walk-in closets fitted around what you actually own, mudroom benches and lockers that survive an Alberta winter, laundry cabinetry, built-ins either side of a fireplace, and home office walls. If it is made of cabinetry and it has to fit a specific space, it is the sort of thing we do most weeks.

The finished Pro Room at the Spruce Grove Community Centre, a curved run of timber stalls with jerseys hung and lit toe kicks

Recent work in Spruce Grove

The Pro Room at the Spruce Grove Community Centre is ours. Thirty stalls, about ninety feet of lockers and cabinets, set on a curb that changed angle on all four sections, which meant no two pieces in the run could be cut the same way.

It is commercial rather than residential, and it is the clearest illustration we have of what happens when a build has no tolerance for error.

What happens after you get in touch

First we want the room measurements, ceiling height included, a photograph of the space as it stands today, and some sense of the finish you have in mind. That is enough for us to come back with a realistic range, which we would rather do before either of us spends an afternoon on it.

If the range works, we measure the site ourselves. We do not quote firm numbers off drawings, because drawings and rooms disagree more often than not, and quoting off the drawing is how a contractor ends up asking for more money halfway through.

From there it is design, your sign-off on the finish, manufacture, and install by our own crew. We install what we build, so nothing gets lost between the shop and the job.

Spruce Grove is one of several communities west and south of Edmonton where we build and install. There are separate pages for St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Stony Plain and Leduc, each covering the housing and the kind of work that comes out of it.
